A full step-by-step teacher guide and lesson plan that walks you through the answers to each clue is included. This escape is 100% digital, you and your students must have access to google drive in order to play this escape room. Take a look at the preview video/preview file to get a closer look! This escape is more intensive and may take students between 1.5 - 2 hours, plus time to complete poem/art. Simply have students save their answers before closing locks page.

Once in the escape, students will click the red start button. This is the set up for the game and gives the students their first clue to solving the first lock. There are six clues/locks inside and a hidden message.

Q: What is a digital escape room?
A: Students complete a student interest survey. Once complete they will get a link to the digital escape located on Thinglink. It is an interactive activity that takes students through five of the keys to success. There is a digital locks form where they will enter the answers to each puzzle and a google slides sheet for them to take notes. The notes sheet can be turned into you via google.

Q: What will my students learn?
A: They will learn about the artists listed above and complete reflections questions, poem, and art prompt.

Q: I can't figure out one of the clues what should I do?
A: There is a full teacher answer key included with the resource. Each answer for every clue has a detailed answer.

Q: What does this require?
A: Thinglink, Google Sites, YouTube, WordWall, EdPuzzle, and Google Drive.

Q: Why is an escape room so effective for distance learning?
A: Because students can work through the escape room on their own from home and share their responses easily with you using the Google Digital Notes Sheet.

A: This resource is truly a digital resource, meant to be used via computer and the internet. That doesn't mean it shouldn't be used in your classroom, however!

A: Yes, there are teacher instructions that include the answers to all of the puzzles as well as instructions on how to assign. Students will need to pay attention and read instructions closely to complete the escape room correctly!
