This radial symmetry dot painting lesson is a great way to teach students about the Elements and Principles of Art. Students create a design using a folding technique to create radial symmetry in their design, then do a color plan and transfer their design to their acrylic canvas/paper. They then add color to the shapes, create tints and shades of their background colors and apply dots!
It is fun and easy for every student to be successful. Color, Unity, Movement and Variety are highlighted.
